Some recent pictures

Back to the blog

I have NOT been keeping up with this blog! We moved from College Station to Montgomery this past summer and we LOVE it here. Mike is working at Conroe High School and enjoys his students and the staff he works with.

Cooper is attending St. James Episcopal School three days a week. He played Might Mites Football this fall and is now doing Basketball. We went on an amazing trip to Disney in October. It was Cooper's first visit and he had a blast. We are now hooked on Disney and can't wait to take him again.

I started my Teacher Certifcation through Houston's Region IV in November and will be done in another few weeks. I have been hired by Cooper's school to teach Kindergarten Science and Social Studies for the rest of the year on a part time basis. I am praying it leads to a full time teaching job next year.

We had to sell our home in College Station after just about 11 months of ownership, but we were blessed that it sold so fast. We've been in a rental here in Montgomery and are getting the itch to have our own place again soon.

House hunting, school, sports, and spending time with the family fills our days and we couldn't be happier!

La Torretta Del Lago

Check out this amazing resort just 5 minutes from our house!! Looking forward to spending some time there this summer at the amazing lazy river and waterpark!

Part time Teacher, Part time Nanny, FULL TIME Momma!

Last year I was working almost 55 hours a week and taking Cooper along with me, so I have felt a little lazy only working 12 hours a week. So what did I do? I've decided that in addition to planning two days of preschool curriculum, taking Cooper to soccer, cleaning, cooking, shopping, and just general keeping up with my house and a 2 years old, that I also need to be a nanny again!!!!!

I will have a little infant named David and Cooper will come with me. It's only about 10 hours a week, but I think it'll be a good experience. All this talk about the economy and me making A LOT LESS than I was last year had me nervous. I've lost all of my cleaning clients, so this little extra income will help.

Just my random update on my little corner of life.

Michael's job is the same. Please keep praying for him and his students. We are headed "home" to New York in December and I think it will be a good family reunion for everyone.

cowboy coop

we unpacked the box with last years halloween costume and Cooper decided to get "buddy" his stick horse and ride around the house. Ever since his pony ride this summer he's decided he wants to be a cowboy....well at least when he's not being a "mean big boy pirate" like he is going to be for halloween.
